Mirror Your Childhood Days

Most little girls when they are younger dream of being a grown up and love to play dressing up and put make-up on like their mums or older sisters. What they do not realize is that when they do grow up they will wish they could be back to the days when they were younger!

Life is so simple in the eyes of a child, so innocent and pure with not a care in the world, their biggest worry being which toy to pick to play with today. Well it is up until they go off to secondary school! People of all ages everywhere always wish they could go back to a particular age or even wish they were older. I think we all spend a bit too much energy wishing away time. As the saying goes 'youth is wasted on the young'!

One of the best things about having a young child I would imagine, is to be able to relive some of your youth by having fun with a make=believe kitchen where you can pull a plastic pizza out of the oven! It is funny how when you are younger some of the most fun things to do is playing with a cashier till, pushing around a fake vacuum and looking after a pretend crying baby, that will soon change! Once they hit teenage years they will never want to see a vacuum cleaner again and if they are anything like me will not want to be near a crying baby for as long as possible.

Playing dress up is a bit of harmless fun that most young girls investigate. Watching them putting massive bright blue lines all over a dress up dolls head, which is sitting on a mini dressing table featuring plastic bulbs is a memory never forgotten, and it will allow you to reminisce of the days when you did it, although it may not have been a plastic doll head depending on your age! As you get older you have to swap the plastic dresser for something more sophisticated and sitting in front to fit doing your hair and makeup becomes an everyday task instead of something fun.

As a grown up you should relive a small part of your childhood but in a more sophisticated and adult way and some of the old=fashioned French furniture in my opinion is a stunning way to do this. Mirrored dressing tables especially make your room appear bigger as the light reflects and bounces around the open space creating such an illusion. Owning a great piece of furniture like this may not take you back to any childhood days but will provide you with a milestone in showing how far you have progressed.
