Made of jute or burlap, with a composition of cork, linseed oil, gum, and coloring, linoleum is surfaced with a durable lacquer which makes it practical for many rooms. Though less expensive than vinyl or rubber tile, linoleum will not wear as long or as well. It is easy to install linoleum, especially if your room is regular in shape.
The most important factors in determining whether you choose linoleum or vinyl tile should be based on cost, the tiles ability to absorb the wear and tear in your room, the level of maintenance that will be required, and of course, your own personal preference.
